Considering the fact that Colorado is land locked, and I've already posted photos of the mountains here (see below)... we journey today, in our search for spiritual perspective to The Garden of the Gods. It is located just west of Colorado Springs, CO, and is well worth whatever time you spend there.
This place was donated to the public by one man, on the condition that it always be free for all to enjoy.

It reminds me of a place I visited in Spain, but about three times bigger, Cool photos.

It is surprising how often the preservation of such places was the vision of one person or family, deciding to save rather than to sell, to consider the planet rather than the pocketbook.

Your photos are magnificent. I never see anything like that where I live. And love the large clear sky against the rock formations. So different from our hilly small skies around here.

Isn't that incredible? I am so glad that he did that! John Muir gave us Muir Woods in California... ahh the redwoods are also extremely inspiring!

Did you see the climbers on the photo I posted? Half way up? They are TINY! I could only think, yikes... hope they make it back down ok!! If I was going to climb, I wouldn't do it in the hot afternoon sun!

Oh wow! Stunning, Scarlett. That last photo reminds me of how I imagine the spines of a dragon might look. No wonder there is inspiration to be had in the Garden of the Gods.
