very nicely done there,
lion owner.

good*by long warm days!

as my summers are mostly
flat florida land
and blue sea,
i enjoyed most
the mountains of your summer days.

:-)

i look forward
to your winter photos.
i have a feeling
they won't all be winter*white...

Nice pictures. Really pretty, and they all say summer.

Now you can take some lovely ones of fall.

That was a true "good bye tribute" to summer and the last one a sneaky welcome of autumn. The photos spoke volumes, my friend.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. This is a lovely tribute to the fading summer (ciaooooo!), but I have to say I'm a little afraid that I might have nightmares about that ant. What's his deal?

Wonderful pictures, Scarlett. You captured all the warmth of summer in them. A very "summery" way to say good-bye to summer!
(Strange, rather than thinking of it as a giant ant - which it is - I imagined myself tiny tiny tiny, tinier than an ant...)

Lovely, summer with a little fall creeping in.

Love the wee guy's jig.

Great pics! Okay, I was a bit creeped out by the giant ant. ;-) Funny how just when I thought our summer was winding down, it kicked it's heels back up. We're having mid-eighties temps here in Seattle this week. Go figure! But, I must say, Autumn is my favorite season, well, sans the rain. Give me crisp, cool (DRY) days with the scent of burning leaves or lit fireplaces! Add a mug of hot cider and a myriad of colors turning the trees and I'm set. :-)

Jon,

I did, but just barely! Isn't he huge? I ran like the wind, after he stopped chasing me to pose for his portrait.
Just barely made it!

Rachel,

Those water lilies are in a pond called 'Monet's Pond'... I cannot tell you how lovely it really is to walk around it, or sit beside it.

SPF,

Thank you Somepinkflowers!
We have blue, green and white winters here. I will post some snowflake shots and December in the Rockies pictures.
Gorgeous place.

Hearts,

Yes! Yes, I will post fall pictures soon. Aspen is in Colorado... and those trees are ALL OVER the place. SO pretty here in the fall.

Jeni,

So glad you enjoyed. You truly appreciate things like that, it's one of my favorite things about you. Yes, fall did sneak in at the end there, which is what it does, really... sneak in at the end of summer.

Sognatrice,

Very pleased that you enjoyed them. The ant was part of a 'big bug' series at the local botanic gardens (a place I am constantly at) it was icky to say the least.
But ants are an integral part of summer... so he got a spot on the board.

Vesper,

It really flips the perspective, doesn't it? Glad you liked them.

Apprentice,

There is a bit of fall, at the end of the summer, and it had to be put in that way.
There are two wee fellows here... one is running from a green frogs head circle in a water park because the water came on and he panicked at ran. The second boy is only in shorts running wild circles around a huge fountain. Around and around and around... I lost count. But he loved the water and the running.

Christina,

Those fall days are slipping in, one by one... and I am looking forward to every single one of them! It's my favorite season too, but only barely.

Vanilla,

That's one of my favs too! I just love summer storms. The colors are incredible.

Diana!

Yes, but now the fall has brought the school year and a new epoch in your life... so summer leaving is not so bad this time.

Scarlett,
Ah, a pictoral ode to summer. Special reminders of good times in the lazy hazy crazy days of summer.

Your keen eye for the beauty around you is marvelous. I enjoy looking at what you see.

As suumer fades it also hearlds AUTUMN. My come alive season. The time of year when my senses are heightened and I see minutia here-to-fore ignored.

I've been to Aspen in winter, and it's a gorgeous place. I can't wait to see your fall pictures when you post them.

I love the seashells and, because I'm a sailor, the sailboats on the water ... even though there appears to be no breeze that day. Beautiful photos. Thanks.

Rel,

SO good to see you back again!
Yes... summer is good, but autumn is here and it's delicious!
Glad you enjoyed these.

Hearts,

I can't wait to take them! Gotta wait just a week or two more, for full effect, of course.
It's so beautiful here in the fall.

Neil,

Thanks!
That butterfly shot is one of my favorites. It's the only photo up there that I didn't take, it was taken my a dear friend of mine.

Endevourme,

They are nothing at all compared to yours! I visited your page and can I only say WOW!!!! I enjoyed yours very much!

Bonnie,

It was a lovely afternoon, warm with gentle breezes. There was good company and about a hundred sailboats on the lake, but this shot turned out pretty well. Not much in the way of waves though.

Taffiny,

Ah... the poet... quaff to your content, dear lady.

Leslie,

And yours are worth far more than that! I love it when pictures take us places.

Summer is too good to let pass. Let's al staple the leaves to the tree and paint them back to the proper color. ;)
