Brownie Birthday Karma

My birthday was last week on the 27th. (Thanks for the birthday mention Sognatrice!)

Some of you may recall one Robert the Bruce, of Armed and Dangerous/A&D II fame.

We got together for a birthday dinner.

He gave me a gift that made me giggle... still, makes me giggle. He's truly a good friend.

I opened the bag and found Vegetable Oil and Boxed Brownie Mix. Not just any boxed brownie mix.

Ghirardelli chocolate caramel brownie mix.

How do I rate?

The significance of this gift goes back a few months to my failed brownie debacle. To understand why this is apropos, you should read the following:

"We're making brownies together." he said. "These will come out perfectly."
I am still shaking my head and giggling.
Isn't it great to have moments and friends like that?

SPF,

Thank you lady!
Southern pecans... you are SUCH a brilliant woman, absolutely send them! YAY!

It's a good idea. It's bordering on great because I have someone there to monitor my cooking...

Chesca,

Thanks, I love serious brownies too. And fun brownies. And chocolate fudge brownies... and...

Scarlett & Viaggiatore (he loves brownies too...)

Gautami,

Not to worry! It wasn't a great birthday; I was at work all day and school all night, it's been a lot of fun since though!

HA!

Happy belated birthday, Scarlett! May you have a wonderful, happy year filled with love, laughter, peace, harmony and all and only good things.

And now you've made me crave brownies - and I'm not even allowed to eat them!

Mmm...brownies. I could go for some of them too. You think they'd ship well?

Sounds like birthday aftermath has been just lovely--as you well deserve :)

Hey, what gives? You're supposed to loudly and proudly declare it's your birthday ON your birthday. Did I miss that blog entry? :-) A very happy belated birthday to you, Scarlett! Loved the brownie mix gift! Quite, er, original? May you have a fabulous year filled with all your wishes come true! :-)

Vanilla,

Thank you very much, that's so sweet. I often wish that for others on their special day.
No brownies? Hm. Do internet brownies count? They have less calories than internet cookies...
ha ha ha....

sorry. ;o)

Sognatrice,

The aftermath has been nice. Mail you brownies... are you SURE? You know the last one didn't turn out so well... but with Robert the Bruce helping out, who knows.

Christina,

Uh... oops. Sorry! Normally I would, but it was a long boring day and I was pouting. Much better now.
Thanks so much for the great wishes!

I'll use them!
